You know, I'm not that into fashion weeks, I like streetstyle / vintage blogs and lookbooks instead, where beside the ensemble you get a story, or rather something that is meant to leave you with a feeling...A pair of shoes, or a brown leather jacket has nothing in particular, but are engaged in such a beautiful photo story that you actually decide to create a similar look.

I like Fashion TV for behind the scenes stories, designers' talk and the making of various photo campaigns, but almost never men fashion shows...and still, the other night I happened to find something interesting, namely the Trussardi 2012-13 fall/winter show in Milan.

The theme - 70s men fashion: lots of beardy models (not those 'too handsome' models, but real men), a little mixture of 70s crime television series like Starsky and Hutch in which everyone had such a funny haircut. The designer of this collection was inspired by F1 racecar drivers of this era, so that the Trussardi man is a down-to-earth chap, who has a peculiar style by being sporty and elegant at the same time.

Lots of warm colors are mixed in this collection, and all the different patterns are wonderfully completed with such little details as the gloves, bags and hats. The outfits seem so effortless that guys, please, feel free to be inspired a little.

Fashion in Movies: The Edge of Love

I really like movies in whichfashion is just a hint, it has little to do with the story, and still, it’sthere, making vital part of the characters’ lives. The Edge of Love is aperfect example for such movies. Dylan Thomas, love triangle, free-spiritedartistry, poems and cabaret are mixed in such an inspiring manner that you’resimply caught and twisted by this absolutely bohemian atmosphere. Though Keirais not one of my favorite actresses, she was an excellent choice for this role,they are great with Sienna. I love the photos with the two of them.

The last couple of weeks I've spent mostly with work and writing some articles, but not blogging....no , not a single word. I guess I've tried to clear my mind, getting away a little bit from fashion...and still, I couldn't stop thrifting a few things...just for fun. Like for example, an 80s style jumper, you know, the one with huge sleeves, something like this (the first one):

It looks fabulous paired with skinny jeans and it's really simple to accessorize, I like to wear it with a huge floral belt. The other day I was looking at photos taken a few years ago and realized how much my taste has changed all these years. I guess I like simpler things now, outfits that are not over-accessorized, but meaningful and tasteful in an effortless manner.I hate when someone takes fashion word by word, putting together an outfit from the most fashionable (?) items. They might act good put together, but this is when personality is lost within the layers. Where are YOU in this ensemble?

And this was when I came across upon the Bleubird Vintage blog written by a young mother of three digging for the seventies style. Her blog is not only about fashion, but the everyday life of her family. Here are just a couple of great photos of what the family members are wearing on a typical sunny afternoon:

Fall was amazing so far and it was such a great idea to do a little spontaneous photo session the other day. Since it’s not that foggy as one would expect in late September, all the layers, cardigans, thick stockings are patiently waiting in the wardrobe. But still, trousers get longer, sandals give place to shoes (espadrilles are my big favorite right now) and a light pullover or a scarf would keep you warm in the chilly mornings. And then there are those happy, sunny, funny afternoons, when there’s no better thing in the world but a walk barefoot in the park.

The last couple of weeks I’ve spent with deliberately refusing to visit any of my bookmarked fashion favorites. I guess I needed to clear and shake up things a little bit in order to get going and create new ideas, dreams of new looks. I find so many blogs / sites day by day, see so many little details leading to a blurry imagery that is colorful and creative enough to deal with, and still, so overwhelmingly detailed that it makes you a little confused. Well, Winston Churchill said that “All great things are simple, and many can be expressed in single words.” So I guess this is how we should take fashion- keep things simple and apply only a tiny bit of extremity to it.

Nowadays, for example, I enjoy watching promotional fashion videos of a brand (like the recently mentioned Free People), while there you get not only the dress in its plainness, but a very pleasant impression. I believe that when a dress is placed in the corresponding environment, its impact is somehow magnified.

Some online boutiques applied this idea to their promotional campaigns by creating look books for each season/ several look books for one season. One of my favorites is Ruche. I love their vintage-modern concept, detailed, yet simple designs. Look at the Ruche website and you’re going to find look books, beautiful photos and a blog, a collection of everything that inspires the creators of Ruche.

Do you own clothes/shoes you didn't take out of the wardrobe for at least a year? You pile up a certain amount of clothes you're not particularly fond of, but still, you feel you'd better keep them until a sudden idea makes you to wear them again, maybe in a slightly different way you first thought.

From the moment I bought this pair of sandals I loved them, but last summer I just didn't really own that vintage look feeling. Anyway, I thought I'd wear them again, not only these Hush Puppies sandals, but loads of dresses/skirts/shirts I've never really worn.

A Bagful of Layers (part 2)

I was really concerned about my wardrobe the other day…it was like I had so many clothes I wore so long ago or have never ever worn that I felt I needed to get rid of them. But such a sudden idea is essential to a fresh start upon reconsidering some pieces/reinventing certain outfits. So, after having a quarter of my ‘bigger’ wardrobe collected into old plastic bags, it suddenly occurred to me what Part 2 should tell about.

I’ve never fully enjoyed fashion shows, I mean, of course, I like new designs, the richness of beautiful fabrics and colors, but for me it’s simply impossible to implement the aspects of ‘high fashion’ into my little simple wardrobe. Now, I think that’s the essence of it- don’t try to follow fashion in a slave-ish manner, but let it inspire you to create your own style. I think this is the reason why fashion blogs are so popular right now- they’re telling secrets of a little less popularized, yet much more wearable/enjoyable style…and I’m much more inspired by them.

All in all, if you don’t know where to start the whole layering story, firstly, get rid of the clothes you’re never going to wear, invest more into specific pieces, clothes looking great in every situation, matched perfectly with a great deal of items.

As much as I love clothes, I don’t like spending too much money on them; this is why I love thrifting so much. It is such a great feeling to find something really special, something totally unique. So, besides those pieces of clothes everyone should have in stock, it’s a great idea to thrift the clothes you would actually use as layers.

Layering is a great deal of fun, because not only that you actually get your creativity trained, but you can express your style as varied as possible.

A Bagful of Layers (part 1)

Gosh, I wanted to do this post quite a while and since it’s the 100^th entry, I was thinking of something more elaborate, something special. Last time I gave a little sneak peek of the photo session we did in March, the one through which I thought I just give an idea of how I imagine layering. Now, I might not say anything new to those interested in fashion, but with a careful choice of patterns/colors/styles we can create some truly tasteful outfits.

I still remember the times (and can’t help but smile) when I used as many colors and colorful accessories I could. It was a time when I listened to Bob Marley and The Doors. Fun fun times, yeah!

Though nowadays I like somewhat more reserved pieces, somehow I feel that the core is the same, I mean I still love colors (natural colors), but in another way, like in form of patterns, glimpses of little details or even different kind of fabrics put together.

There are two patterns that I think of as everlasting features of my wardrobe. The first one is floral pattern. It makes no difference if it’s spring or winter, because it’s a print that will always give a little feminine, elegantly casual flavor to your outfit. I usually choose a color as a basis (in most cases I choose black tights and a black top) and then I start adding layers-a skirt or dress with fun patterns (polka-dots, flowers, checked). I usually finish off with a unicolor blazer or jacket.

Spring and autumn are the ideal seasons for layering, since you basically have endless possibilities to merge all those layers. You do the best when you combine let’s say three colors, and of course, you can add more than that, only pay attention to the shades and always have something on that holds the whole ensemble together.

Marine-style is the ultimate hit of every spring/summer season for a while now, this is a pattern that we can’t and won’t get rid of if it’s about a casual or party gear. I have a black-white strapped H&M dress with a little detail on the shoulder, though it’s a little tight-fitting, so I’m not brave enough to wear it, only as a top with shorts and boots.

That’s for today but more is yet to come.

I've seen Foul Play (1978) for a couple of times, but it was only the other day that I've noticed the visual value of it from a fashionist point of view. Let me tell you that it's a kind of movie that I enjoy watching over and over again for the Hitchcock-like plotline and the wisely dosed humour, although the end becomes a little too trivial. By the way, humour-let me quote my favourite line in the movie:

"Listen, it's Gloria, right? You're a really nice girl and I'm a nice guy, and you're very pretty with or without cleavage, and what do you say... would you like to take a shower? " :)) Guys, this is the 'best' worst pick-up line ever!!

I've read somewhere that Goldie Hawn was 33 when playing the role of Gloria Mundy, and that's impressive, because she looks so young and beautiful.

I really love her wavy hairdos and excitingly layered, decent and at the same firty outfits. All of the dresses match perfectly the character of the pretty librarian. My favourite Gloria-dress would be the creamy white dress.

I'm not sure where is this picture from, but it's so good just to look at it for the moments taken out of the randomness of a party... or maybe somebody just stayed in this restaurant for hours and took pictures of totally strange people. Few of them are quite intimate, yet vivid and full of energy. It makes me listen this song over and over again and I'm constantly reminded of the way how Carey Mulligan held her cigarette in such a cute french manner in An Education. Cliché? French romanticism? It's so lovely anyway!

What's the pattern of a fabric called music?

It must be truly eccentric that's for sure! I've closed the door and turned the music down to actually hear my thoughts. It's really hard, you know? In most of the cases we listen to music to shut the world out, but what I've noticed in the last couple of months is that I don't need to listen to something all the time. Maybe, as we grow older and older, we recognize our daily needs of silence. I carry this little piece of silence with me everyday in order to find something new that makes me excited and relaxed at the same time.

...But today I needed to listen to something that has an effect similar to that feeling when you start shaking your head to get your mind into shape again. I've suddenly found this little wake up call when I heard the first tunes of Roisin Murphy's 'Primitive'.

I admire this lady for a long time now, but I always find something new in her music, her stage presence and atmosphere that I sometimes can't get hold of. Whenever I see a live performance of Roisin Murphy (Werchter 2008 is one of the bests) I have this strange, goosebump-ish feeling of art, of music covering up every little part of your body and your skin is literally soaking in that mixture of tunes, voice, words, movement and crazy hats :) speaking of which, the outfits of this girl with the magic voice are just as her music- sometimes a little unwearable, hippi-ish, lively, sophisticated, sensual...I'd really love to go to one of her concerts.

I'm starting to become a bigger and bigger fan of Cycle Chic blogs. Through these sites you might get a glimpse of what people wear while riding their bikes. My absolute favorites are: the original one from Copenhagen, the capital of bikes and the one from the Netherlands. I guess these blogs are more colorful and creative in style than most of the usual streetstyle blogs. (I find it really amazing how people are willing to ride their bikes even in the biggest snowstorm). I even got inspired to actually learn how to ride a bike...

...or beautiful ideas for an upcoming photosession (?!). These photos make me think of a season I cannot really define anymore. The whole mood is so gloomy, yet playful and trashy, elegant and loose at the same time. Somehow I'm looking for this ambivalence in every picture, in every accessory or piece of clothing that I'm trying to combine with clothes of other style or mood or an idea that I accidentally get in a certain, suddenly inspirational moment (that sometimes has little to do with fashion). Does my overall mood influences the way I'm thinking about style or is it the other way around? Well, it's a new year with new (and hopefully pleasant) experiences that will certainly give birth to a new wave in the Inspiration. Perspiration. -al world of Miss Katjes.

Finally! Next week I'm gonna have a photosession I'm dreaming about for a while now, preparing for the new season (new year maybe), new style and fresh ideas for some upcoming posts. I've spent this day googling some ideas for an ideal location and posing, as I'm not really a model-type-of-person, usually I don't feel too comfortable in front of the camera. So, besides the the blogs giving some interesting Xmas decoration hints that I just couldn't get away from, I've found this collection of fashion pictures. Although the photos taken for Marie Claire were not exactly what I was looking for, I've spent long, long minutes examining them for the beautiful, nude colors, natural hair and make-up and the overall ease these pictures express. Maybe the reason for choosing these pictures as an inspiration is that I feel this kind of calmness around myself these days...even though there's freezing cold out there right now. Wien für Dich, Interpol for your heart

I truly recommend you to see Interpol for yourselves, they sound so real, so professional. The highlight of the week we've spent in Wien was the concert of course (the only thing I missed from the event was a little 'All fired Up', but the 'Heinrich Maneuvre' has pleased me in the end). Unfortunately, we couldn't make any good photos of the band because of that silly thick smoke on the stage, but after me, here's the best songs of the night:

Anyway, we've made some epic photos during our stay, not particularly from a streetstyle-point-of-view, but something that would give back hmm....a certain relieved mood we were into all week long.

Crazy rhythms and lyrics, it might not really make a sense, but still, it is very cleverly written and it's so elevating, like a new wave bombshell exploding and dissolving in my (and maybe others) microcosm. It reminds me feelings that were lost long time ago, relationships and old friends and frozen food and loneliness ('went down the subway to dream about friends') and suddennes and crazy, life-like moments at the same time. The band is called Kistehén (LittleCow) and the two songs are Vágjál hátba (Spank my Back)-the official video and the live version...I tend to like the live version more these days...and the other one is We want to do everything in the darkness. Enjoy :)))

I'm still thrilled about that Lajko Felix concert last Thrusday. It was such an unbelievable experience that I couldn't sleep that night because the tunes just echoed in my head. I wish I could find a way to express, impress and inspire the universe with something that close to art, and that close to a primordial substance contaning the soul, the mind, hate, love and a little hortobágyi palacsinta :)

I made myself a few days to get far far away from work to sleep, to read, to be alone for a while...this day I spent mostly in bed, but I decided to focus on reorganizing my closet for the following fall-winter period...which is not my favourite one. 50s style stories of love, jealosy, betrayal....

....And other little weaknesses of the human soul. While I kind of adore everything that has something to do with the 40s-50s, I feel like I have to say something about three movies I saw recently. Married Life (2007) is something I saw accidentally on a lazy Saturday morning. It's a 1940-set story, so the first thing that I liked about it was Rachel McAdams' great (too blondie, though) hairstyle and outfits. The story itself is really catchy: husband meets a young, beautiful girl, plots to leave the wife...but as the story unfolds, he realizes that she, the wife would be devastated by the pain. (On the other hand she has a secret lover as well). You can sense a slight comic note when the husband finally decides to kill his wife in order to safe her from shame, pain, whatever..."I don't want to hurt you" shit... it's kind of funny and painful at the same time...well, you can understand it in a way, but come on! The other good thing about this movie is that you would expect a dramatic ending, but then (and not at the end) you get the answer: one cannot build happiness upon the unhappiness of someone else. Babumm. There you go. I like that the story unfolds in a 1940-manner and the answer is put in such a simple way (Like: I love you, but I'm not in love with you anymore, I can't see you suffer, so I'll kill you). It's either black or white. And still...the director can surprise you with an even more simple ending as that. It's a pity that we don't have that anymore. You just constantly receive confusing signals from the outside world and you can't decide how you should answer that. This is a helluva fckd up world (sorryz for the bad language).The other movie I saw upon this subject is based on a Somerset Maugham novel, it is The Painted Veil (2006). Here you can see more interesting clothes of the era. Though a bit boring, it's a beautiful story of love fulfilled too late. Again..jealousy, betrayal, revenge...but all along with that you can actually gain something. Something good. It is like you have to put up with all that sh*t in order to learn how open up for another person...and not to hurt...be hurt. And the clothes are adorable :)

And then it was The Cat's Meow (2001) with the beautiful Kirsten Dunst (yeah, yeah, I'm still such a huge Marie Antoinette fan because of her...and of Sofia Coppola, of course). This is a movie presenting the Hollywood stars of the 1920s. I didn't really like the story itself, but Kirsten's acting made it okay. It's jealousy for the third time. Along with the ragtime and the elegant dresses of the era. It was good to see it, though.

So, here's the thing: somebody always pisses you off, because life's ironic, let me call it faith, if you want, but because of the selfishness of the other person you don't have to feel bad about yourself and you don't have to do silly things to hurt that person. I don't really care anymore.

I've just discovered a British band called The Cinematics. I have to say the play some great tunes. Yepp, that's me...I'm always returning to the good old indie for a while. By the way, I'm thinking of going to an Interpol concert this fall (Wien or Berlin, maybe...). Does anybody know something about these concerts? For instance, they are giving a concert in Coimbra, Portugal as well (in October) along with U2. Well, that would be truly amazing to see!

I really liked the movie for several reasons: first of all, the music works unbelievably good with the story, along with the characters, the acting was great, the end was sad but hey, that's life, but the reason I loved it was of course, Summer (Zooey Dechanel), my no. 1. favourite because of the cute little outfits she wore and her nice, easygoing character. I'm writing these lines wearing a summer flower dress and high heels and I can't really explain how inspiring this movie was.

There's no day, not a moment without music. I have this song on my MP3player for a long time now and whenever I listen to it, I remember those good old days in the 90s. I can't really describe the feeling, but it kind of creates a comfort zone, where you're safe and you can relax. Did you see the movie 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'? Now, that's a great movie! I love Jim Carrey's "serious" roles. You see the mask (haha, the mask:) of a little nerve-racking humour, but you can sense the serious, sometimes painfully shocking truth underneath. Anyway, the director of the movie is Michel Gondry. I really like his storytelling, the atmosphere of his scenes, the characters. I think everybody knows this Levi's commercial (btw, talking of Levi's, my favorite item at the moment is a pair of old Levi's bfjeans, ooo, gosh, where are the skirts and dresses??) So, this is a great commercial. Another masterpiece of Gondry which I simply adored from the moment I saw is Steriogram's Walkie Talkie Man...where I think the music is a great plus...Dunno, it just feels like dancing to it. It's punk, it' fun!

It was around 1999 when I discovered Silverchair. I was so crazy about their songs that I was surfing the music channels for hours, just to see their videos. I even cried a little here and there because of that beauty and joy of the art of music I discovered in these songs. It's rock, it's grunge, call it whatever you like, it's great to listen to even today. Haha, it's so funny, I remember that feverish teenage enthusiasm when I entered the first internet cafe to google the lyrics of these songs. PJ Harvey is one of my favorite singers. Whenever I feel grumpy or need something that gives energy, I listen to her. I like her whole attitude, the message of here songs, like she would say 'hey, this world's crazy, give me the gun.' (just as she's telling in the song called 'Big Mistake'). Nowadays I'm feeling kind of peculiar with lots of ups and downs and just asking myself is it worth putting your soul out? Because even those don't give a sh*t whom you'd like to trust, to understand, to accept, maybe. This is when you reach the point of listening to PJ and feeling cool and showing that litte-magic-middle finger. I'm so much tired of lies and hopes and dreams that will certainly never come true...of arrogance, injustice and stupid prejudice. And this is what makes PJ's music so good.

Yeah, yeah, I know it's been a while, bla bla, but wow!!!
Okay, I admit, I had some concerns as I listened to some of the new Massive Attack tracks from the long-awaited album entitled 'Heligoland' but watching a video like Paradise Circle, I mean, this is the most beautiful videos I've seen in...hmm...actually I've never seen such a beautiful (shocking, yeah, still beautiful) video in my life. Actually I'm a bit confused because I remember that scene with the blood, though I can't figure out where have I seen it. Then I found somewhere occurring the movie called 'The Fall' and now I don't understand anything anymore. Anyhows, it looks like I have to watch the movie to figure it out :)

Folcore?

I must say I always showed some kind of inclination towards Hungarian folk music. I still remember those songs we heard and sang so many times at school (by the way I listened to rock music back then). Anyway, the point is that I, as an amateur music lover/listener/critic, gladly observed that there's a serious underground part of the Hungarian musical scene which seems to be more and more inspired by Folk music. Some of the bands (who knows, maybe influenced by Goran Bregovic's crazy Balkan rhythms) take little pieces out of old Folk songs and often fit them into a d'n'b-beat-dubstep environment, maybe even add a bit of trip-hop/hip hop or some Arabic tune to it. What about the result? There's a well-known and loved spread in Transylvania and bordering countries called Zakuszka in Hungarian, made of all kinds of roasted vegetables, typically served on bread (hmm, yummy!!!). Hence, we can call this phenomenon Zakuszka music, a nice mixture of lip-smacking ingredients. I have to say I adore this kind of musical experiment because for me, it expresses full deliberation, joy of music without boundaries and a beautiful scene comes to my mind: a hot summer night on a meadow, in front of a stage, a huge crowd, joyous people all around, who move as if they were in a blurred trance, like some sort of snake swaying to its master's chant. And most importantly, you have the band on stage, formed of musicians, who sometimes produce unearthly tunes with their instruments.
I'm totally aware of the fact that there are lots of sound-lovers who certainly wrote wiser, more serious studies about this kind of genre-mixtures, but now it's up to you to write down your opinion about it, and to help you, I'm going to show a song I recently discovered and impressed me very much, although I don't really like the band called Balkan Fanatik and the song is Hidegen fújnak a szelek (Cold winds are blowing).

Rég nem csodálkoztam el ennyire egy kolleció láttán, mint tegnap este, amikor a 2010-es tavaszi/nyári Valentino showt néztem (tudom, ez meg a párizsi divathét ideje alatt történt, de néha kicsit lemaradok, ami a legújabb kollekciókat illeti). Előbb a különleges színű és izgalmas, könnyed szabasú ruhákra lettem figyelmes, aztán jött a libabőr, a cipők. Gyorsan ki is derítettem, hogy Phillip Treacy kalapkirály bámulatos zsenialitását dícsérik ezek a cipők.

Bár megfogadtam, hogy ezt a blogot nem a legújabb trendelemek bemutatására használom fel, úgy érzem, hogy ez kihagyhatatlan, mert nagyon eredeti, a valóságtól teljesen elrugaszkodó képzeletvilágot teremt.

Csak nemrég jöttem rá, milyen vak is voltam sulis koromban, hogy nem értékeltem eléggé Ady szerelmes verseit. Na jó, nem leszek ilyen szigorú magammal szemben, mondjuk úgy, hogy nem voltam elég érett hozzájuk. Bár ezt több könyvvel, verssel, novellával kapcsolatban is így éreztem, évekkel később egészen más mondanivalót olvastam ki belőlük. Kissé közhelyes leszek, de ezeket a verseket is másképp értelmezem, más érzést váltanak ki belőlem és megnyugtatják a lelkem, ha úgy érzem, nincsenek a helyükön a dolgok. Ennek ma este is így kellene történnie.

Egy ideje már felírom a kínosan rímelő szópárokat, kisebb mánia lett úrrá rajtam, de amolyan kreativitás-gyakorlatnak tekintem, a blogcím is ennek a végterméke. Szóval, ha legalább 50 ilyen rímet kitalálok, indítok egy új blogot, ami csak erről fog szólni. Vagy ez nem is olyan jó ötlet? :))

Hogy ne legyen ilyen képtelen ez a bejegyzés, itt ez a kép Hanne Gaby Odiele-ről, az egyik kedvenc modellemről, na jó, az túlzás, hogy a kedvencem, de annyira fura, csúnyácska arca van, hogy az szinte már tündérien bájos. A plágiumért pedig ne vessen rám senki követ, de nem tudom már, hol találtam ezt a képet, vagy azt, hogy milyen tervező ruháit viseli, de a cipőt imádom, a nacit imádom, az összhatás különleges. Senses, scents, sentences

I can remember a particular year in which spring was especially beautiful with all kinds of feelings in my heart (Haha, what a poetic spirit I have at this hour). But all it's true and I can still evoke the mood I was in those days, and the air smelled not only of blossoming trees but rioting melodies as well. I think that was the time I started listening to indie, thanks to a guy who several months before that moment surprized me with a song called Evil ("Rosemaaaaary, heaven restores you in life"). I still remember that one afternoon while walking home from the university and listening to this song again and again and having such an easy heart, feeling perfectly happy for the song, the mood, the sunny-spring-ish weather-mood medly moment.
It's funny how certain tunes can generate a so-called "perfect moment" feeling (I have to come up with a better, more personal denomination though) and then making that tiny moment unforgettable. With this blended musical impression I still have a sour throat and eyes filled with tears listening to a tender indie made by Interpol. Just think about it :).

The Visitor az egyik kedvenc filmem, főként Tarek, a főszereplő miatt, mert talán ez a jazzklubos jelenet a legemlékezetesebb, legmeghittebb pillanat, amiben csak úgy izzik a karakter, teljes fényében megcsillan lelke szépsége. Egy őszinte vallomás dalban, mosolyban, gesztusban, egy más kultúra nyelvén, ami egyszerűen és hazugság nélkül melengeti a lelket, mint egy puha ágy, egy finom ölelés.

Néha magyarul, néha angolul születnek meg ide a nagy gondolatok, ahogy csak jön, bár eleinte úgy gondoltam, ügyes leszek s így is, meg úgy is megírom ugyanazt a bejegyzést, ebből természetesen semmi sem lett, inkább marad a káosz!

Régi képeket kerestem elő és scanneltem be, az egyik kedvencem ez a csajos csoportkép, anyu és a barátnői, a hetvenes évek nyári ruhadarabjaiban. Eszembe jutott, hogy kicsike koromban folyton anyu ruháit és persze a magassarkúkat próbálgattam, mint minden rendes lány:) és fáj a szívem, mert emlékszem néhány táskára/felsőre/ruhára/szandira, amit én most is szívesen felvennék. Anyu balról a második, helyes a felsője, a csíkos fürdőruhát pedig minden további nélkül elfogadnám...talán azt a kisruhát is.

A tegnap esti kábult tévézés közben az Ftv-re tévedtem (ez elég gyakran előfordul), ahol épp a 2010-es Viktor & Rolf tavaszi kollekció bemutatója ment. A ruhákról csak annyit, hogy, mint minden Viktor & Rolf alapkoncepció, úgy ez utóbbi is elgondolkodtató volt, mert a kreációk szerintem sokkal inkább voltak épitészeti elemek, mint viselhető ruhadarabok. A kivitelezés viszont káprázatos volt, ezek a pontos, vonalszerűen megtervezett darabok valóban nagyon érdekes hatást keltettek. És, ami az összhatást tökéletessé tette, az a háttérben felbukkanó, és készülő albumának egy-két zenéjét eléneklő Róisín Murphy volt. Hát uramisten, uramisten, most bevallom, hogy imádom azt a nőt- a zenéjét, a tökéletes színpadi produkcióit, a karakterét, a hangját, a bolondos gönceit. Nem szabad kihagyni azt a Youtube-os videót, sem amit úgy találhatunk meg, hogy Róisín Murphy- Overpowered Live at Lowlands 2008. A kalap, a kesztyű, a mozgás, gyönyörű gyönyörű mind, alap, ez egyértelmű.

Sajnos ilyen kis vérszegény bejegyzéseim lesznek még egy ideig, de hamarosan új fotóssal dolgozunk az őszi ruhakollekción, amit a hirtelen ránk törő hideg miatt a hétköznapokon még csak viselni sem lehet :):)

A nagymamám nagyon szeret mindenféle kis csipkecsodát, sapkát, pulóvert, meleg kesztyűt készíteni, sok sok éven ez volt a mestersége, így gyakran előfordult az, hogy születésnapokra, névnapokra egy-egy ilyen darabbal lepett meg és persze mindig elmondta: tedd el, kisunokám, gyűjtsd a csipkéket, ez lesz majd a hozományod:) Ha jól tudom, most is épp nagy csipkéken dolgozik, egyet egyet készít mind a négy unokájának.

Gyerekkoromban nem tudtam értékelni a hozománynak való csipkét, persze a gesztus mindig jól esett, de nemrég előkerült a több, mint húsz darabos kollekció és kettőt azonnal ki is tettem a kedvenc vázáim alá.
A kilencvenes évek elején divatosnak számított a horgolt csipkegallér, legalábbis a családunk nőtagjai előszeretettel díszítették vele a csinosnak nem mondható pulóvereket, bár emlékeim szerint a végeredmény sem volt mindig sokkal szemetgyönyörködtetőbb. Egyébként a csipkegallér nagy múlttal rendelkezik, a XVII. századi férfidivatban találhatjuk meg első nyomait, persze később a hölgyeknél is teret hódított. Keressünk rá bátran a Victorian style clothes kifejezésre vagy nézegessünk vintage ruhákkal foglalkozó blogokat (pl. liebemarlene.com), itt a "vintidzs" megszállott rajongói, akár be is szerezhetnek néhány valóban egyedi ruhadarabot.

No, de visszatérve a horgolt csipkegallérhoz, a hozományos ládikóban a terítők, kis és nagy csipkék mellett találtam néhány szép gallért is, gondolat gondolatot követett és máris megszületett az ötlet, hogy mi lenne, ha egy régi és kidobásra szánt felsőmet "felújítanám" egy ilyen gallérral. Fekete-fehér viktoriánus hangulat a javából, nem is kellett hozzá más, csak a régi, megunt, de meg használható felső, tű, cérna és persze a gallér. A végeredményt a képeken láthatjátok. Sajnos még nem volt alkalmam arra, hogy felvegyem, ugyanis gondjaim támadtak a felső szabásával kapcsolatban, de a gallér-rész szerintem tökéletes (csak, mert a gallérok szépek:)

Valea Drăganului

I suddenly realized that as I grow older and older, I feel an untameable urge to get as close to nature as possible- to smell the sweet scent of trees, flowers, mountains, to wander around lurky places. These photos were taken in Valea Drăganului (Nagysebes), very close to the Vlădeasa Mountains, a group of mountains that makes part of the Romanian Western-Carpathians about a month ago.
This place made me think of the absolute freedom portrayed in Sean Penn's beautiful and very moving film entitled Into the Wild. -> Oooooo, I am falling safely to the ground:) It makes me think I'd be a supertramp as well. Wanna join? :)

These days' favourite> Lungs [2009]

My absence from the blogging world is due to my fragile health condition these days that I'm slowly getting very very tired of. Anyway, I got the chance to put my hands on a new and pretty catchy material, namely Lungs from Florence and the Machine. The mood of the whole album reminds me of the mid-90's Cornflake Girl atmosphere. And indeed, Florence sounds like a younger Tori Amos mixed with a less outspoken version of Kate Nash. As genre I would group Lungs in a smooth indie/British pop/soul-is experimentation and trial of self-expression category. If you are lover of the genre, Dog Days Are Over, Hurricane Drunk, Rabbit Heart and My Boy Builds Coffins are the tracks you would choose to listen to for more than once, I guess. Oh, and not to mention the Candi Station cover You Got the Love, as a beautiful conclusion of the sweet and sour story of a breakup.

By the way, Florence is one stylish London-girl .)

New Parov Stelar album finally! [Got to see them on the 26th in Cluj!!! L'Orchestre de Roche is also giving a concert on that day -yaay yaay :D -] Here's the video for the new single Coco. Though the song is too moody for my ears (maybe I'll get used to it someday), Lilja Bloom is beautiful {nice lipstick and haircolour :) } and the video is simply a masterpiece.

lelkibéke, bohókázás

Bár néha egészen megdöbbentő, milyen cuccokban szaladgálnak a fiatalok Stockholmban, én mégis imádom ezt az oldalt. Egyedi, színes, néha kicsit borzalmas, valahol mégis szívderítő. A Cotcot-os street fashion lehúzásai után mindenképp hasznos olvasmány (vagy inkább elektronikus képes újság?), ha megnézem, utána mindig kedvem lesz felvenni a legdilibb összeállítást.

Do you remember that scene from the movie called Girl with a Pearl Earring when Vermeer pierces Griet's ear? I found that scene very moving....I think it has something to do with the overall message of the story, where the beauty of art is enclosed into a pair of pearl earrings that catches all the light. From the first time I saw the movie I constantly feel this urge to wear little, shiny earrings made of silver, gold with little stones hoping to catch the light :)

By the Way, Cillian Murhpy was my absolute favourite in this movie, ohh God, those eyes!!!

Nosztalgia

A múltba tekintgetős hangulatomtól vezérelve újra régi csodazenét hallgattam ma délután (persze ahelyett, hogy dolgoznék) és leporoltam a régi Anima lemezeket. Milyen más is volt az akkori hangzás! Meghallgattam néhány zeneszámot ebből az új, Fannis korszakból, nem is olyan nagyon rossz, de nekem úgy tűnik, hogy az akkori dallamokban sokkal több íz volt. Talán azt az etnó-balkán-örömmuzsika hangulatot keresik ezek a már előbbi bejegyzésben említett bandák, amit az Anima néhány évvel ezelőtt megteremtett.
Egyébként a '99-es Shalom album címadó dala (Space Zion mixben) egy Kevin Macdonald-féle filmben is szerepel (State of Play-2009). Jó választás volt:)
